Barrier to poor, gate to corrupts: Pakistan Observer by Shaukat Masood Zafar

The word hypocrisy is also no strange for our political scenario. The downfall is due to low quality, incompetent, hypocrite and corrupt leadership, unaccountable; equally corrupt and more hypocrite bureaucracy and ineffective judiciary unable to fulfil people's aspirations resulting in unparalleled corruption and lawlessness. The dream of an independent Pakistan has gone sour because of our corrupt leaders who are acting no less than like a mafia or gang at national level. Imagine a mafia "legally" usurping major portion of the national resources but all of our national institutions is silent. Hypocrisy in our political system is today at new heights. If saying one thing and doing another is a succinct description of hypocrisy, then PM, President and PPP leaders trot out puzzling policies and old clichés to bamboozle us, yet only their kith and kin grow fat – while the poor people used as the ladder to get to the top will go back to the same crappy lifestyle they had before, and keep hoping that those in authority and with influence over authority might stop lying to them. The other parties and their leaders are also no less. They have robbed their citizens and all future generations of their birthright. The Pakistani Government has been proven to be incompetent, dishonest, lawbreaker and even corrupt in relation to its accountability. People of Pakistan have only suffered hardships and traumas at the hands of these political autocrats. The corrupt and incompetent rulers have brought the country to the verge of disaster, which is a matter of serious concern for every patriotic Pakistani. The rulers have entered their fifth year of power but have not a single thing to show for them. Besides nepotism and plunder, a new scandal of corruption is coming to the limelight almost daily but the rulers are unmoved. The way national resources have been plundered and institutions have been destroyed during the last about four years is unprecedented in the history of the country. The commission mafia prevailing in every sector is eating up the national vital institutions and those protecting such elements are also the worst enemy of the country and its people.
